Wales has firmly established itself as one of the best Mountain Biking destinations in the UK. From wild natural trails and flowing single tracks to purpose built bike parks and downhill tracks. Wales really does have something for all tastes and levels of riding. We don’t have much to add here. Wales has it all.
We offer South Wales as a destination with many kilometres of natural trails in the vast Brecon Beacons and the Rhondda valley (including Afan Forest). But there are also great Trail centers can be found with challenging trails and of course BikePark Wales!
We deliver this trip completely tailor-made for you and your cycling buddies. Whether you prefer a weekend or a week comes to Wales, our MTB Guide knows how to challenge everyone at their level. Rather iconic views then technical trails, no problem!
You will never forget this trip. You travel to Wales on your own by ferry, plane or through the tunnel. If you fly to Bristol or Birmingham, we will arrange it for you. all transfers for you. There are high-end rental MTBs available for every period.
Day program
Whether you are a weekend BikePark Wales books and comes flying or a week in Wales want to explore with your own transportation. The choice is yours
Below you will find a example elaboration based on a boat crossing, transfers to Wales and a mix of scenic and technical trails.
Day 1
Check in at Hoek van de Holland around 21:00 for a boat crossing to Harwich. There is a cinema, live entertainment, casino, duty-free shops, bars, various restaurants or the peace and quiet of the cabin.
Day 2
The boat docks in England in the morning and you will be picked up by the guide Paul with the mini bus and special MTB Trailer to go to Wales. In Wales you will immediately get to know Cwmcarn Forest. The red Cafall route is recently completely upgraded. This route takes you deep into the forest and high up into the hills with beautiful views. After Cafall is Twrch on the program or one of the two downhill lines: Y Mynydd and Pedal holders
Day 3
Today Afan Forest is on the program. From the hotel you roll into Afan Forest with two blue, five red and two black routes. There are three starting locations and two visitor centers where maintenance can be done and lunch can be had.
Day 4 & Day 5
The best natural trails in South Wales. Guide and tour leader Paul is completely at home in this area. On day 4 is the state Rhondda Valley on the program where we will include the “ridge line” drive and get to know the rugged off-piste local trails. Day 5 an all-time classic is on the program: “The Gap” located in the Brecon Beacons. This tour has less singletrack than the previous days, but introduces you to the most beautiful parts of South Wales. The descent from “The Gap” is an unforgettable experience, Gopro on!
Day 6
Time for BikePark Wales! There are so many lines to ride here that we can hardly keep up. The counter is currently at 40. There is an uplift service from BikePark Wales for as many runs as possible, but of course you can also cycle up there. BikePark Wales has developed a new type of trail. Where the blue routes are always flowy and the red routes are technical, you will also find flowy technical routes here. Curious? Then definitely try Forest Bump, Off-Grid or the somewhat faster one Watts Occuring. If you have driven these three, we are sure that you will leave for the boat with a big smile at the end of the day. In Harwich guide Paul will say goodbye to you after a few fantastic days in Wales.
Day 7
After a pleasant evening on the boat, we arrived in the Netherlands early in the morning.

Important information:
Travel and accommodation
The transfers through the UK are with a passenger bus with a mountain bike trailer equipped with a system to secure mountain bikes within a few seconds. The hotel nights are standard based on 2 person occupancy, so no dormitories. The hotels have been carefully selected by us and are extremely suitable for mountain bikers (locked bike storage). The rating of the hotels on Tripadvisor is 4.5 out of 5 stars. The cabins on the boat (if booked by us) are a maximum of 4 persons. All accommodations can be adjusted to your wishes in consultation.
Price and (down) payment
After acceptance of the customized travel proposal, you will receive additional information and an invoice for payment of the travel sum within a few working days. The stated price is (unless otherwise stated) based on registration of two persons sharing a room and excluding 25 euros administration costs per booking. The deposit (30% of the total travel sum) must be paid within 14 days after the invoice date. The remainder must be received by us no later than 49 days before departure.
Guarantee
This offer is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions of this warranty scheme on the STO Garant website (www.sto-garant.nl/downloads).
The combination of travel services that we offer with the trip is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302. This means that as a traveller you can claim all EU rights that apply to package travel.
To comply with the legally required guarantee, TS MTB Adventure uses STO Garant for all package holidays. STO Garant is a recognized warranty scheme. It is a third-party payment arrangement that guarantees your payment until after your booking has ended. As a traveler, you do not pay the booking amount to TS MTB Adventure, but to the third-party account of the Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow, a payment service provider registered with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). This Third Party Funds Foundation processes all payments for STO Garant.
The day after your booking ends, your booking amount will be released from the escrow account to TS MTB Adventure. If TS MTB Adventure ends up in bankruptcy or suspension of payments before the end of your booking, your booking amount will be released to Stichting Take Over (STO). Depending on the situation, STO will then ensure that you receive your booking amount back, can continue your booking or travel to the end point of your booking.
With this, TS MTB Adventure has secured insolvency protection from STO Garant. If services are not provided due to insolvency of TS MTB Adventure, travelers can contact STO Garant, located at Torenallee 20, 5617 BC Eindhoven, the Netherlands, via [email protected] or +31 (0)85 13 02 943.
Payment procedure
You will receive an email from STO Garant ([email protected]) with information about making the payment for your booking. For all bookings, the full booking amount must be paid to the escrow account before the start of the booking.
Travel insurance
Good travel insurance is very important for a mountain bike trip. Not every travel insurance covers high-risk sports such as mountain biking or activities in mountainous terrain. When participating in this trip, it is mandatory to take out travel insurance that covers mountaineering risks. Check carefully whether your travel insurance covers this!
