Limburg: two days working on your mountain bike skills
This weekend is all about improving your MTB skills.
We start with (repeating) the most important basic techniques, before taking it to the next level. Even though you may have been on the MTB for a while, we are convinced that there is still plenty to learn and improve on the basic technique. And this is important because we will continue to build on it throughout the weekend to push boundaries.
South Limburg has technically challenging routes (including 2 NK courses) and numerous opportunities to improve your MTB skills.
We will work on steep climbing and descending, how to find balance by using viewing techniques and taking obstacles. Technical turns, riding a drop and line choice will also be discussed. Also think about using the Bunny-hop and the principles of the Manual to be able to ride an obstacle or drop.
Accommodation is a comfortable hotel on a full breakfast basis. There is possibility to hose down your bike, do maintenance and, of course, store it safely. After a day working on your skills, enjoy a drink at the bar or in the (sunny) garden.
Day program
Saturday
On Saturday, we will gather between 10:00 and 10:30. Once everyone is ready to get on the MTB, we start the programme with a variety of fundamental MTB techniques. Even if you have been riding MTB for years, you will be surprised at what there is still to learn. The rest of the day is all about pushing boundaries. We move to a challenging trail in the area, where we work on steep climbing and descending, finding balance through viewing technique and taking on obstacles. Technical turns, riding drops and choosing the right line will also be covered!
Sunday
On Sunday, we will focus on riding root paths and off-camber trails, as well as on drops and jumping. Today, we will mainly focus on your personal learning goals. Of course, we will look for the most beautiful trails in the area with challenging passages. Around 15:30 it is time to say goodbye and go home, with a great experience and a lot of new techniques richer!
