Welcome to Cape Town, the city famous for its iconic Table Mountain, the impressive Cape of Good Hope and historic Robben Island. This vibrant metropolis is the starting point of your 8-day Western Cape MTB adventure. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the heart of the city, where you will check in at The Grey Hotel, located in the vibrant De Waterkant district. This charming boutique hotel offers modern amenities such as a bar and a rooftop pool, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the city. With some free time at your disposal, you can explore Cape Town’s sights or simply soak up the vibrant atmosphere. The day ends with a culinary welcome dinner, a perfect start to your adventure.

Day 2: Explore Table Mountain National Park

Today you will embark on a spectacular trek through Table Mountain National Park. Start your day on scenic trails and challenging terrain, surrounded by breathtaking views. After your morning activity, you will be treated to a delicious 3-course lunch at Tryn, a contemporary restaurant in the Constantia Valley Estate. In the afternoon, you will take the ferry to Robben Island for a guided tour of this historic site, where Nelson Mandela and many others were imprisoned during apartheid. The evening is free to explore Cape Town at your own pace.

Day 3: Explore the trails of Tokai and experience Bo-Kaap

Today it’s time to explore the challenging MTB trails of Tokai. This day is all about blood, sweat and the gears of your mountain bike as you make your way through working plantations and indigenous forests. After your ride, a unique culinary experience awaits you in historic Bo-Kaap, known for its colourful houses, steep cobbled streets and rich history. Here, in the heart of the Cape Malay community, you’ll enjoy traditional cuisine and take stunning photos of the vibrant surroundings.

Day 4: Choose from unforgettable adventures

This day offers an unforgettable choice of three adventures: a heli-bike excursion in Jonkershoek, a safari in the Aquila Reserve, or a relaxing ride through Botelary Hills. If you choose the heli-experience, you will enjoy breathtaking flying hours, challenging trails and a delicious picnic. On safari you will come face to face with the Big 5, while in Botelary Hills you will enjoy the unique trails through the Stellenbosch wine country. In the afternoon the group will come together again and you will have time to relax.

Dank je wel Mischa en Sebastiaan, voor jullie gidsen, ondersteunen en goeie zorg. Het heeft mij het vertrouwen gegeven om dingen te durven die ik anders nooit had gedurfd.
